On the evening of Jul.,17, the 4th AOS (The Art of Surgery) seminar, bariatric surgery session was held online. This seminar was honored to invite Pro. Meng Hua from the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Prof. Wang Yong from The Second Hospital of Anhui Medical University, Prof. Hu YangXi from Zhengzhou Central Hospital, Prof. Dong Xing from Zhengzhou Central Hospital, Pro. Yu WeiHua from Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University School of Medicine,Prof. Zeng MengHua from The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Prof. Mei YiJun from Lishui People’s Hospital, Prof. Wang ShuangDuo from The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanyang Medical College and Prof. Luo Dan from The Third People's Hospital of Chengdu to share and discuss clinical research experience in bariatric surgery.
The seminar was presided over by Prof. Meng Hua. In the opening session, Prof. Meng Hua extended a warm welcome to the participants from all over China and introduced the theme of the seminar, and pointed out that, surgery is not only a technique, but also an art. The art of surgery should be the highest level pursued by every surgeon. From traditional open surgery to minimally invasive surgery, and now more and more innovative devices are applied to minimally invasive surgery, the innovation of medical devices and the unremitting pursuit of surgeons in the art level jointly promote the continuous improvement of surgical techniques. At the same time, as a research and development manufacturer of new minimally invasive surgical instruments, EndoSystem Medical has made some good explorations and attempts on the road of device innovation.
In the section of keynote speech, Prof. Wang Yong and Prof. Dong Xing respectively gave speeches on Key Points of Safety and Quality Control in Bariatric Metabolic Surgery and Experience of Reduced-hole Sleeve Surgery, in order to share their valuable clinical experience and surgical skills.
In the end, Prof. Hu YangXi, Pro. Yu WeiHua, Pro. Zeng MengHua, Pro. Mei YiJun,Pro. Wang ShuangDuo and Pro. Luo Dan also delivered wonderful speeches to the today's topics in-depth discussion and exchange, the atmosphere was warm, and the seminar was a complete success.
